Door Prize Contest - January 2008 Show
Original Contest Terms & Conditions Posted: December 1st, 2007
1) HOW TO ENTER
The "Contest Period" means the period beginning on January 12th, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. (EST) ending on January 13th, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. (EST). You can enter the contest by purchasing a ticket to the January 2008 Wedding Palace Bridal Show event and completing the appropriate Door Prize Contest Ballot.
2) ELIGIBILITY
This Contest is open to individuals that purchase a ticket to the January 2008 Wedding Palace Bridal Show event, complete the Door Prize Contest Ballot, are residents of Canada with exclusion of residents of the province of Quebec and who have reached the age of 16 as of January 1st, 2008, and who are brides-to-be (may be requested to show proof). Employees and representatives of (i) Wedding Palace Bridal Show Limited (the "Contest Sponsor") and (ii) its advertising and promotional agencies, affiliated corporations and other persons, firms or corporations involved in the development or execution of this Contest, are not eligible to enter or win a prize in this Contest. Also persons with whom such employees, representative or agent are domiciled are not eligible to enter this Contest or to be awarded a prize that is available in this Contest.
3) THE DRAW
The draw will be held at the January 2008 Wedding Palace Bridal Show Event on the Main Stage at the Ottawa Congress Centre in Ottawa, Ontario at approximately 4:15 p.m. (EST) on January 13th, 2008. The draw will be made from entries received during the Contest Period up until 4:00 p.m. (EST) on January 13th, 2008. Odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received. The selected participants will be notified by e-mail or telephone. All prizes must be delivered by August 31st, 2008.

The Wedding Palace Bridal Show does not take any responsibilities for the door prizes offered by any of the individual show participants at their respective booths. The selection of winners of such prizes is not handled by the Wedding Palace Bridal Show though their value may be added to the total prize value offered for promotional purposes.
The prize must be accepted as awarded and no substitution of the prize is permitted nor will any cash equivalent will be paid. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, should the prize not be available, to award a similar prize of equal or greater value. No warranty of any kind will be provided with respect to the prize other than the normal manufacturer's limited warranty that normally accompanies the product. The prize is non-transferable and can only be redeemed by the contest participant. By participating in the contest and accepting the prize, the winners agree to be photographed and have their name and photograph advertised in a range of media including printed press, websites and television.
4) SKILL TESTING QUESTION
In order to be awarded a prize, participants whose entries' are selected will be required to answer correctly an arithmetical skill testing question. The skill testing question will be administered by phone at a mutually convenient time. Participants will be required to answer the skill testing question without electronic, mechanical or other assistance and there will be a time limit for providing the answer. Participants may be required to sign a declaration confirming compliance with these requirements.
5) ENTRY CONDITIONS
By entering this Contest, each participant agrees to abide and be bound by these contest rules. Each participant agrees that as a condition to being awarded a prize, the participant may be required to sign a release and declaration form in favour of the Contest Sponsor and in form and content satisfactory to the Contest Sponsor. All decisions of the Contest Sponsor or its advertising and publicity agencies on its behalf shall be final and binding upon the participant. This Contest is subject to Canadian law.
6) GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If the person submitting an entry from an electronic address is not the person who is assigned the e-mail address from which the entry is submitted and if a dispute arises regarding who submitted the entry, then the Contest Sponsor shall be entitled to deem the entry submitted to be an entry of the person to whom the e-mail address is assigned.
The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, exercisable in its discretion, to disqualify and ban any participant from this Contest if the participant is found or is believed to have been tampering with the on-line entry process, the operation of the Contest or the Contest website or if the participant is found or is believed to have been attempting to contact, threaten, annoy, harass or abuse any other person who has participated in this Contest.
ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PARTICIPANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST OR THE SURVEY IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE OR SUCCESSFUL, THE CONTEST SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER PENALTIES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
By entering this Contest, each participant agrees that the Contest Sponsor will not be liable for any injury or damage from whatever cause associated with or in connection with this Contest including, without limitation: (i) any incorrect or inaccurate information or any other error, whether caused by Contest website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries in the Contest; (ii) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation of the Contest website or any transmission in connection to the Contest website; (iii) any communications line failure that delays or prevents the delivery of any entry to the Contest website; (iv) any theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries that are being stored electronically; (v) any problems with, or technical malfunction of, any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, or failure of e-mail which may occur for any reason whatsoever, including technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof; or (vi) any injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this Contest. If the Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of the Contest Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security or proper conduct of this Contest, the Contest Sponsor reserve the right in their sole discretion to, without advance notice, terminate or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, or modify it in any way.
7) PRIVACY
To the extent that a participant provides personal information with an entry, Wedding Palace Bridal Show will collect, use and/or disclose the personal information provided for the purpose of administering the Contest and any other activities as outlined by the Wedding Palace Bridal Show's Show Privacy Policy .
